Wilhelm Rodríguez Flores is a Master Instructor at the Accademia Pizzaioli in Italy and an internationally recognized pizzaiolo with more than 30 years of experience.
He began his career at the age of 14 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, where he developed the passion, discipline, and dedication that would define his career. In 1998, he expanded his experience by working in several pizzerias throughout New York, refining his expertise in New York-style pizza while continuing to master authentic Neapolitan pizza through years of study, competition, and collaboration in Italy.
For more than two decades, Wilhelm has proudly represented himself on the world’s most prestigious pizza competition stages. Throughout his international career, he has earned awards at every major championship in Italy where he has competed, including Calabria, Venice, Parma, and Naples, establishing himself as one of the most accomplished international competitors in the pizza industry.
His accomplishments include earning the title of five-time World Pizza Champion across multiple categories. In 2025, he captured the World Traditional Pizza Championship at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2026, he added another major international title by winning the Bacio Legacy Cup at the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas. That same year, at the 23rd Trofeo Caputo – Campionato Mondiale del Pizzaiuolo in Naples, Italy, he earned Second Place in the Trofeo delle Nazioni (Neapolitan Pizza) and Second Place in the American Pizza category.
In recognition of his expertise and respected reputation within the industry, Wilhelm has also served as an official judge at prestigious international pizza championships, including competitions in Parma and Rimini.
Known for his expertise in dough fermentation, flour selection, baking techniques, and both New York-style and Neapolitan pizza, Wilhelm is dedicated to preserving tradition while continually advancing the craft through education, competition, and innovation.
Today, Wilhelm continues to compete, innovate, and share his passion for pizza around the world, proudly representing the World Pizza Champions while remaining committed to excellence, craftsmanship, and the continual evolution of the art of pizza.
