International Face off at the World Pizza Games in Las Vegas!

The Games are back and better than ever! For the first time since 1998, the World Pizza Games took place at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, NV March 30 - April 1st, 2005.

Aisleways were jammed up by crowd of an estimated three to four hundred spectators , who watched as the worlds best pizzaioli competed in Largest Stretch, Fastest Dough, Individual Acrobatic, & Team Acrobatic.

The World Pizza Champions, organizers of the World Pizza Games beat Italy in the team acrobatic event.

In the only event they competed in, the World Pizza Champions went head to head against the best from Italy, acrobats from Rome & Calabria . The five man team based their 4 minute routine on the hit movie “The Matrix” , throwing dough while dressed in suits, trenchcoats, and sunglasses.

Italy made an impressive display at the World Pizza Games by capturing 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in individual acrobatics.

The World Pizza Champions added two new members to the team at the games. Kevin Osborn of Tiffany's Pizza in Monroe, MI was chosen as the newest member of the WPC. Kevin will tour with the WPC for the next year to the Chicago & New York Pizza Expos, the World Pizza Championships in Italy, and back to Las Vegas in 2006.

Justin Wadstein of Kiantis Pizza & Pasta Bar in Santa Cruz, CA was also selected as an honorary member of the WPC. Justin will accompany the team to Italy in 2006.
