This year the games saw competitors from across the USA, Korea, Italy, Ireland and brought acrobatic dough throwing to a whole new level.
Four World Champions took home Gold Medals and a $1000 cash prize at the World Pizza Games Finals and Rockin' Party at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas. The Acrobatic Competition brought things to a conclusion with outstanding routines by all of the acrobatic finalists, razor thin times separating the fastest dough, and a Team Exhibition from Korea.

Proving their skill at the World Pizza Games - Giorgio Giove and Justin Wadstein were handpicked to become Liftime members of the World Pizza Champions.
Selected Member:
Up and coming acrobatic dough thrower Jay Shuurman of Kianti's Pizza & Pasta Bar was picked as the 2007/2008 Selected Member of the World Pizza Champions. The team has invited Jay to join them at the 2007/8 World Pizza Championship in Salsomaggiore, Italy.

Exciting Changes Coming to the World Pizza Games
Don't miss the World Pizza Games Trials to be held at Pizza Today's Northeast Pizza Show in Atlantic City September 12-13, 2007. A brand new competition - Longest Spin - will make its debut at this show. Winners of Fastest Dough, Largest Dough, Fastest Box Folding, and Longest Spin will proceed directly to the finals in Las Vegas 2008. In addition the Acrobatic category is being split into two different divisions - 1st Division and the Masters Division. The winner of the World Pizza Games Trials in Atlantic City will go head to head with the winner of the Las Vegas World Pizza Games Trials at the World Pizza Games Finals in Las Vegas 2008 - to be be crowned the 1st Division Champion. Ranked acrobatic competitors will be invited to compete in the Masters Division to be held at the World Pizza Games Finals. More details to come soon....
