Every year the World Pizza Champions™ travel to the World Pizza Championship in Salsomaggiore, Italy. Over the years our team members have captured five Gold Medals, three Silvers, and two Bronze at this international competition.
Every year we select a few of the best to join us in Italy. If you think you have what it takes, write to us and let us know why.
Just send an email to us at and give us your pizza bio - your history in the pizza business, accomplishments, awards, etc. The international pizza industry takes this competition seriously. We are a group of serious competitors and we ask that only serious competitors apply.
While we can't pay for your trip, we can assist you in securing sponsors to help fund your trip. So if you are good enough - then we can help get you to Italy, invite you to sit at our table at the awards ceremony and give you the honor of wearing the World Pizza Champions™ logo while you compete abroad.
UPDATE: New membership is closed for the 2007/2008 competition tour. Please check with us is mid 2008 for information on competition schedules in 2009.

Simply visit http://www.pizzanew.it for all the details that you will need to compete. But here are a few of the basics:
Destination: Salsomaggiore, Italy
Air: Milano/Malpensa Airport (MXP) is the closest airport to Salsomaggiore; Flying out of New York is usually the fastest (aprox. 7-8 hours) while Atlanta is often slower (10 -11 hours)
Car: Renting a car at the airport is your best bet to get to and around Salsomaggoire (about 2 hours south of Milano). Sixt a Car has worked well for us www.sixt.com.
Hotel: The two main hotels where competitors usually stay are the Grand Hotel et de Milan and the Hotel Regina, both are owned by the same company www.demilan.it.
June 12 & 13 2007 - Sponsored by San Felice & Association Margherita Regina

Car: Naples and the Rome area is a very conjested and difficult to navigate area. Rent a car at your own risk.
Hotel: The main hotel where competitors usually stay is the San Germano Hotel http://sgermano.hotelsinnapoli.com/
